SELF-CARE RESOURCES

- I know being in quarantine can be isolating and frustrating. I thought I would share some of the things I am doing to keep my head, heart, and my body in good shape. 

1. GIVE YOURSELF GRACE.

Try not to judge yourself too harshly if you spend a day in your pajamas. Give yourself the down time to recharge but just know you may have more energy if you start the day by at least changing clothes (even if it is into another pair of sweats - ha ha). 

2. MOVE YOUR BODY.
Okay, I'm not saying to train for a marathon, but consider stretching, walk your dog, do a short online workout, or yoga. I promise you that this will improve your mood. 
My favorite yoga class is - Yoga with Adriene
3. Take HEART
​THIS IS THE BEST THING EVER - DO SOMETHING NICE FOR SOMEONE FOR NO REASON! Don't do it because you want them to like you or because you want something from them. I promise you that this will not only lift there spirits, but it will also lift yours!

- Put a kind note on a elderly neighbor's door - like -"Hey, hope you are okay. If you need anything, please give me a call." 
- Mow your neighbor's lawn

​4. MAKE YOUR BED - WATCH THIS VIDEO

5. MAKE A ROUTINE - SET YOUR ALARM AND GET UP AT AN EARLIER TIME, EVEN IF IT ISN'T THAT EARLY
- Make an area your workspace for school, keeping all the things you need together.

Here is my workspace in my dining room. When I work, this is where I go. ​I have everything I need and I'm not distracted by the tv or family (well, the dogs still bug me what can I do).
